Design Criteria
After settling on a direction, we began the development process by identifying and expressing a set of design criteria. These criteria would aid us in answering questions and guiding design decisions later in the project:
Flexible :
form is flexible, morphable and scaleable - items of multiple sizes can be sold - adaptable to changing cultural or climatic conditions - ease of operation for managers as well as buyers and sellers - low set up cost
Personable :
friendly and easy to use from the users perspective - design embodies openness and transparency in its operation and presentation of items for sale - seen as a member of the community an is adoptable by the community as such
Respectable :
establishes trust and generates confidence in users - instills value upon the objects for sale inside -- keeps goods secure, safe - encourages respectful and non wasteful use - allows and fosters community involvement in upkeep and moderation
Responsible :
transactions have clarity - uses energy efficiently, preferably from renewable sources - uses environmentally sound materials
